Industrial plumbing and plant maintenance for Melbourne factories, recycling facilities and manufacturing sites. Planned work, shutdowns and breakdown response from a team that understands production.
When a line stops at a manufacturing plant, the cost is counted in lost production, idle staff and missed dispatch windows, not just the repair bill. Industrial plumbing is about keeping water, air, gas, process and drainage systems running so the plant keeps running.
SWR Plumbing works inside large industrial sites across Melbourne, including recycling facilities, paper and packaging plants, food manufacturers and warehousing operations. Our crews are used to site inductions, permits to work, isolations and working alongside maintenance teams, contractors and production supervisors.
We have been in the trade for over 40 years and run our industrial work out of Coburg and Campbellfield, close to Melbourne’s northern manufacturing belt and a short drive from the western and south eastern industrial estates.
Most of our industrial work happens while a plant is operating. That changes how a job is planned. Before we start we confirm isolation points, the effect on production, the permits required and who on site needs to sign off. If a job can be done in stages to keep a line running, we stage it.
For larger jobs we work to the site’s shutdown schedule. Materials are ordered and prefabricated in advance where possible, so the hours inside the shutdown window are spent installing rather than waiting for parts.
We carry out height and tight access works on mezzanines, roof spaces, pits and plant rooms, with the appropriate access equipment and safety controls.
We service industrial and commercial sites across greater Melbourne, with most of our work in the northern and western industrial areas. Our core service areas include Campbellfield, Coburg, Thomastown, Broadmeadows, Somerton, Tullamarine, Laverton North, Derrimut and Dandenong South.
For offices, retail, hospitality and strata buildings, see our commercial plumbing page. For homes, see our residential services such as blocked drains and hot water repairs.
It depends on the scope, access requirements and whether the work has to happen during a shutdown or after hours. Small repairs are usually charged on labour and materials, while planned projects and maintenance programs are quoted as a fixed scope. We provide a written quote after a site visit.
